So who do you think will win this gen consol wars?

At the moment the 360 is wining but the Wii is catching her up! Going by software sales though the 360 has a clear lead over her revils.
Hmm as a guess I say in the short run 360 could win by software sales but my lose in hard ware sales to the Wii. MS have established the 360 as a hardcore gamers consol  which will give them huge software sales but they will need to start marketing the 360 as a casual gamers system as well if they want over 40 million units shipped. I think the way to get at that is market the 360 as Nintendo have with the Wii, also package the 360 with a simplified controller that’s designed for party games. I reckon they might want to change the Xbox interface as well, its great how it is now but for some one that likes things to be simple there’s a bit to much to look at and a few button presses to get to where you want to go where the Wii is easy, simple and very stylish. Complete with a low price tag they cant go wrong as long as they sort out the RROD!!

If Nintendo can convince third party developers to support the Wii long term and buy exclusive 2nd party developed games that cater the hard core audience then the Wii may just be unstoppable!

Sony’s best shot with the PS3 is just do what they did with the PSX and really go for it in 2008 with an aggressive marketing campaign, cheaper price tag and some exclusive killer apps. PS3 has the hardware to out last her competitors.

Well the thing is the wii is always sold out so if they get enough in stock they could win for sure.
